Beatriz Pelayo- Garcia - Associate Attorney

Beatriz Pelayo-Garcia joined Dishon & Block as an Associate Attorney in 2008. She focuses on family law matters including divorce, domestic violence, paternity, child custody, support and adoption.

Prior to joining Dishon & Block, Ms. Pelayo-Garcia was a Partner for Vega, Overton & Pelayo-Garcia, a litigation firm where she gained significant experience managing all aspects of family law involving court trial and alternative dispute resolution.

Formerly, Ms. Pelayo-Garcia served as a Law Clerk for the firms of Moreno, Becerra, Guerrero & Casillas and Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Before that, she spent five years as a Court Clerk for the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Ms. Pelayo-Garcia is a member of the State Bar of California.  She is fluent in Spanish and is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and Mexican-American Bar Association.

Ms. Pelayo-Garcia earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2004, graduating in the top 15 percent of her class. She attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, where she earned her B.A. in Women’s Studies in 1996.
